Garden Club Meets -1

The Rappahannock -Garden Club met on the grounds of Mt. Salem Church on' Wednesday, June 27th. 'A picnic lunch was spread under the trees.

After a short business session, Mrs. E. M. Jones, program chair-k man, distributed the 1956-1957 Yearbook to the members and gave a brief sketch of the forthcoming programs, which promise to he both interesting and instructive. Emphasis will be placed upon Landscape Design, a topic introduced last year for continued study. Several programs are arranged on this subject and members will also study books that will help in developing their knowledge and skills in this field, and * their ability to recognize good landscape design.

Each member was also given a list of projects in horticulture and. landscape design from which to select one or more. Progress on same to be reported at intervals, pletion.
