Flint Hill, 4-1

In an exhibition game played under the lights at Bing Crosby Stadium, the Flint Hill A. C.’s were defeated by Front Royal, 4 - 1, in a contest which was a pitcher’s duel between fastballers John Pickrell and Mel Cameron.

Cameron, holding the Flint Hill batters hitless for the last fire innings, went the distance for the win while striking out seven, and his mound opponent Pickrell fanned nine. The A.C,’s outhit Front Royal, 4-3, but the rules still state that the team which has the most runs shall be the winner of the game, so Flint Hill lost this game.
