Amon G. Richardson
Funeral services were conducted on Monday September 24, at First Baptist Church, Washington, Va. for' Amon GrimsCy Richardson who died on September 20, 1956 it flis home here. He had been in declining heath since May 1956.
Mr. Richardson, who was 84 years of age, was born arid reared; m Rappahanock County and lived here al his life. He attended Big Branch Public School, Washington and operated a small farm.
He w;as a member' of the First Baptist Church of Washington ■ where he served as deacon for 50 years, and as chuich treasurer for 35 years. He was a member of the Order of Odd Fellows. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Robert C. Davis and the eulogy was delivered by the Rev. Rufus Banks of Culpeper. Va". Interment was in the*' Odd Fellows Cemetery. Close relatives and friends acted as pallbearers and flower bearers.*
He is survived by his wife, Hattie Fletcher Richardson whom he married in 1897. Three daughters, six sons, thirteen grandchild-' ren and two great grand children.
