Many years of hard work and prayer by members of Bromfield Parish, bore fruit on Monday
October 8th. when work was b^gun on the Parish House at Trinity Church, Washington.
The congregation had'long felt the need of a suitable place in which to hold parish meetings and dinners and, with the opening of a Church School, it soon became ap»parent that classroom space was vital. ' ,
In the spring of 1955, Mr, David Gibson of the firm of Johnson, Craven arid Gibson, Charlottesville, Va., was commissioned to draw'up plans which would meet the requirements of theParish. After several meetings with' the Building Committee composed of Col. W. R. Williamson, Mrs. George H. Davis Jr., Mrs. Jack Bruce and the Rev. J. R. Frizzell” Jr.. Mr. Gibson submitted a proposed plan for the approval of the committee and die congregation. Some alterations were suggested, revisions made and final blueprints - presented in February, 1956. The construction contract was let to Mr. Charles Hawkins, in June of this year. ‘ . «„
