Town Council Meets;

Mrs. Cox Entertains

A meeting of the Town Council, was held at the Manahoac Lake on August Uth with all members present and the Alaor presiding.

The roll was called and the minutes weje read and approved.

Mrs. Davis stated the culvert near the Washington Cash Store had been repaired by the State - Highway Department.

Mrs. Cox stated she contacted Ciuy Burke regarding the repair of the two water fountains in town, one on the corner of Main and Middle Streets and the other in the Court House Yard. Mr. Burke fe't the fountain at Middle and Main Streets could be repaired at very little cost to the town. It wa< thought since there,,was an electric water fountain in the Court House that the fountain in the yard was used too little for repairing.

It was also suggested that the town should secure more trash barrels as they were needed so badly 'o cerH’n sections of the town. It was felt that everyone should understand that the barrels put out by the town are a means of trying to keep trash off the streets in town and the barrels belong to the town.
