Among the recent high school graduates in this are* who are p.annnig higher education are those interested in applying to one of our [service academies. The Air Force Academy began accepting application for the class of 1962 on the first of this month, with the application period to run until Janunary 31, 1953. There ate a total of 433 spaces open and' the young men who are selected will begin in training on June 27, 1958. Upon receiving their, degrees at the end of the four yeats course, they will be graduated as second lieutenants in the Regular Air Force.
Appointments to the Academ> may be received through several channels. Eighteen will be filled by direct Presidential appointment and 36 will be reserved for promising young men already in service or in reserve.
