The Ladies Auxiliary of Aid's'.' \il!e Fire Co. will have a ham and oyster dinner at the fire hall on Friday November 22 from 5:30 to 8 :00 P.\f. The menu will include ham or oysters, mashed potatoes, peas, slaw, pickle, celery, olfves, rolls, coffee and pumpkin pie. Price is $1.0Q for adults and 75c for children.

Missionary Group

Meets At ML Salem

The Si% Slaughter Group* of the "omen’s Missionary Society of the Shiloh Assocation held their fall meeting at Mt. Salem on Saturday. October 25.

It was at Mt. Salem that the first W. M. U. in this section of Virginia was organized bv Mrs. Sue Slaughter of “The Oaks”.

Miss Margie Shumate (miss, ionarv to China, home on furlough) gave a most interesting-' nlk. Miss Shumate has also served in Thailand.

Others on the program: The Reverend Joseph S. Graver and Mrs Graver who took as their subjects, “The Light of The World” and “Our Responsibility To Our Youth”.

Mrs. Charles Spellings talked on “Stewardship”.
