Mr, Phipps established The Breeder-Stockman in 1939, as the Virginia Breeder. Two years later he expanded coverage and changed the name to The Eastern Breeder. In 1950 he purchased the Southern Stockman of, Memohis, and the magazine became The BreederStockman;
Mr. Phipps is a practical live: stockman as well as publisher. He breeds mrrebred’ and commercial Polled Hereford* at his Rockbum Farm, Rectortown. Va. He is one of the organizers of the Atlantic Rural Exposition, now theVirginia State Fair, and v* a director of the Virginia Beef Cattle Producers Association and, of the Easter^ Vation*! Livestock £how, Timonium, Md. He is an alumnus of the University of Virginia.
Mr. Jenkins became owner of the Southern Livestock Journal, and moved it * from Kissimmee, Fla., to Macon in 1948. 1 , He is a graduate of the University of* Florida.
