This month shooters everywhere will mark, the fiftieth anniversary of the greatest feat of marksmanship in shootfng history —> a record so imposing that no other rifleman has even attempted to equal it.

The extraordinary feat of precision and stamina that has defied so much as a challenge was performed on the San Antonio, Texas, fair grounds by Adolph. Toppervvein, exhibition shooter for Winchester. Ad, as he is called, fired away with a 22 rifle at wooden cubes the size of alphabet blocks thrown into the air by a team of strong-armed youths. Over a ten-day period, he shot at a total of 72,500 of the tiny, flying blocks — and missed a total of only nine times.
