Mr. A. McDaniel, manager of the Luray District of the Northern Virginia Power Company, hat announced the appointment :of Mrs. Genfva Funk McClung to the staff of the Company’s Home Service Department She will se^vt ait borne service advitor for this area, working out of the Luray office.
In thit position, Mrs. McClung will draw on her vast experience in this type of work. She formerly served with the local utility’s “sister” company' die Potomac Light and Power Company ip Keyser and Martinsburg, West Virginia, from 1931 through 1943. -
Following this period of service, die joined her husband who is employed by the United States Gov- ’ emment. From 1952 to 1956, die lived in La Paz, Bolivia, In South America and from January 1957 to July of that same year, resided in Mexico City, Mexico. -
A native of Stradiurg, Mrs. McClung attended grade and high schools in that community. She received a Bachelor oif Science degre^ , in Home Economics from Radford Teacher’s College in Radford Virginia.
She h*s, had intensive training in the care and use of residential electrical appliances and lighting and will be of valuable assistance to homemakers of this area. Mrs. McClung is now serving in(hfr* assigned territory, and may be: contacted at the nearest office of the power company.
