People with moqey to throw away have changed! the name of the underground Sacred River of Luray Caverns, Virginia, to the Wishing Well. And the staff of Luray Caverns have put their' money to work making big wishes come true by collecting it every other year to aid various charities. This year the $4,012.60 check „ for the recovered coins was accepted by Senorita Juliet Lacarte, daughter of the Ambassador from Uruguay on behalf of the American Cancer Society.
In shallow places the coins could be seen easily.- But most of the money lay under seven feet of water until the Luray Fire Department supplied ipumps and personnel to bring the water level , down so young ladies from Luray i could wade ,in and gather the coins not to mention bus tokens from 17 cities, foreign coins from 32 countries and such odds and ends as keys, combs and lipsticks.
