At ft spcial membership meeting on June 2(£, 1958, the formal merger of the Front Royal-Warren and Rappahannock Tuberculosis Associations was consummated by the adoption of a new Constitution and by laws.
The new name of the organization will be Front Royal-Warren, Rappahannock-T uberculotia association with the office to remain in Front Royal at 8 East Jackson Street. The new constitution calls for a board of directors of not more than 36 persons or less than 15, elected by and from the members. The present Board of Directors is composed of 24 members, three of whom are from Rappahannock County.
The, purpose of the a^ociation. shall be *Tb conduct m cooperation -with the Virginia Tuberculosis Association and the National Tuberculosis Association an education campaign for the control of tuberculosis and the promotion of public health; to stimulate the search for persons who have- tuberculosis, to provide through public funds for facilities for their care and for their eventual rehabilitation as self-supporting citizens; to cooperate with all official and voluntary health, educational, and welfare agencies- intrested rn the prevention and control of tuberculosis and the promotion of public healthy and to study the health needs in Front Royal, Warren, Rappahannock County, and to provide for meeting these needs in cooperation with other official and voluntary atenciesby education, demonstration, and legislation.
