Bang’s disease test reports have been received on 1743 head of cows, bulls and heifers, owned by 272 different farmers since the state Veterinarians began work in
^/tfie county a few months ago- A total of 29 reactors have been found on 16 differen|3$rms.
Presently there are ninety odd Herds yet to test consisting of an estimated 600-800 head. In other words the testing program is approximately 90% 'completed.
Progress for the next'few weeks •is not expected to be at as rapid a rate as it has been in the past as other counties with in the vetrinarian’s rspective areas are begging them to come test their cows. Which limits time they can spend here. Such being the case it is . hoped remaining herd owners will make an extra effort to extend full cooperation. • 1
Keeping in mind a blood, test is the only way to be sure a cow does not have Bang’s disease, If
your neighbors are /tfiShg^ why hold back ? Rare is tne cak indeed when a herd can’t be tested excuses, is' human nature to find excuses. Perhaps we need to remijnd ourselves of the Goldn Rule. Control and prevention of a contagious disease is profitable in many many ways; it is also an opportunity^ to live your religion.
