The Barry Cooks and daughter came up from Portsmouth. Miss Jane Parris of Front Royal spent the day Sunday with the Cooks and Bob Cook was the over night guest Monday of his parents.
Mrs. Robert Petersen and children of Fort McPherson, Ga. will arrive in Fredericksburg Saturday where she will be met by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Jame« Settle, returning with them for a visit of several weeks.

The 1960 National Wheat acreage has been set at 55 million acres, which is the maximum permitted under the present law. This is div i d e d between the commercial wheat states on wheat history basis. Virginia’s share of the allotment for 1960 is 256,173 acres. This compares with an allotment of 259,999 acres in 1969.
