The Association pointed out that the new indusrty, a textile plant which manufactures women’s and children’s nationally-known sportswear, is a financially sound business, especially desirable for Rappahannock County because it is a “clean” industry_._.there will be no bad odors, smoke or other offensive elements from their manufacture. It will require little water other than that necessary for the service of employees. It is estimated the plant ultimately will employ 130 or more people._97% of which will be women. A labor survey will get underway within the next two weeks to ascertain the total labor force available in the county and any women interested in obtaining work at theplant should advise their nearest Committeemen, listed below:
