NOTICE j To All Democartic Voters of Rappahannock County: I At a duly called meeting of the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee held in Wa'Hngton, Virginia, on April 1,1960 the following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, the Executive Committee of the Virginia Democratic State Central Committee called a convention to be held in Virginia Beach, Virginia, on Mav 21, I960 to select delegates to the National Democratic Convention to be held in Los Angeles, California;
WHEREAS, the County of Rappahannock was awarded 3 delegates at said convention, and;
WHEREAS, the method of selection of said delegates was left to the County Committee of each county.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that a mass meeting will be held in the Courthouse, in the town of ! Washngton, Rappahannock County, Virginia at 8:00 P M. (EST), on the 20th day of April, 1960, which shall elect 3 delegates to the State Convention above mentioned and 3 alternates to said convention; the delegates and alternates being elected at large at this mass meeting. 1
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, THAT ALL CANDIDATES who desire to become delegates to said convention shall file their notice of candidacy in due form accompanied by the Party Pledge with E. M. Jones, Secretary of this committee on or before April 15, 1960.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, tha,t a copy of this resolution be published in the Rappahannock News in the issue of April 7, 1960, which is at least ten days prior to the election of said delegates,
