Places 5th - Updike 4th
Rappahannock 4-H Livestock Judging Team, composed of Walter B. Kilby, Lyle Updike, Harrison Powers and David Lyne placed 5th at the District Contest held last Saturday at Verona.
The team left Sperryville at 7 a.m., arriving just in time to register, be divided into groups and start judging. There were: two classes of cattle, both breeding classes ; two of swine and two of sheep with a breeding and market class of the Jatter types. The fourteen teams totaling 50 club members completed judging at noon, had lunch and then started giving reasons for their discussions individually. The final tally of scores was as follows:
