Food Stand For Fishermen

Boy Scout Troop 65 of Sperryville will set up a food stand in Old Hollow on Saturday, April 1—die first day of fishing season. Fishermen will -be able to buy sandwiches, hot dogs, coffee or cokes for their lunch, eliminating the trouble of packing one or having to leave the river to go get lunch. Fishermen, patronize the Sperryville Boy Scout Troop 65.

Easter Services

At 6.00 a.m, Sunday, April 2, there will be a Sunrise Service sponsored by the four churthces of Rappahannock Charge of Methodist Churches, at Flint Hill Meth-1 odist Church. The minister of the charge, Rev. William A. Jester, will deliver the message entitled: “From Darkness Into Light”, taken from John 20:24-29. Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

In addition to this early service, there will be two other worship services on the Rappahannock Charge, April 2: 10 a.m. service at Washington Methodist Church and 11 a.m. at Sperryville Methodist Church. At these two services the message will be “A Cross Of Mystery”, from II Corinthians 5:14-21.

The Washington and Flint Hill Baptist Churches will observe the Lord’s Supper March 30, Thursday evening at 8 p.m. The service will be held in the Flint Hill Baptist Church. Fellow Christians are cordially invited to attend.

Traditional Maundy Thursday' (communion) Service will be March 30 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Giurch in Sperryville. A service will be held Good Friday, March 31st. Both services will be conducted by Rev. H. E. Nicholson, minister of the church.

Sunrise Service will be held on Red Oak Mountain Easter Sunday morning with Rev. Gayle B. Titchnell delivering the sermon. This Service is sponsored by Forest Grove Baptist Church.

Holy Communion will be celebrated on Maundy Thursday, March 30 from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. at Trinity. Episcopal Church in Washington, Va. The Rev. Mr. Vogt will be the celebrant assisted by the Rev. Dabney Carr. There will be no sermon. The nursery will be open in the Parish Hall during the service for the younger children.

There will be two brief meditations of a half hour each from 12 noort to 1 p.m. Good Friday.

The public is cordially invited to attend these services.
