Lawn Party At

Willis Chapel

A Lawn Party will be held on Saturday, September 1st at Willis Chapel Methodist Church, Huntly, Va. beginning at 5:30 p.m. On die menu will be ham and chicken, vegetables, pie, cake and ice cream. Proceeds will go toward the building fund of the church. ^ -vsr

$1,700 Damage In

Two Accidents

Two accidents have been reported by Trooper W. A. Buntin.

On Thursday morning, August 23 at 2:15 a.m. a G.M.C. tractortrailer owned by the Virginia Holsum Bakers, Inc. and driven by Gregory Dexter Sheffield of ? Verona was struck by a 1954 Buick sedan which left the scene of the accident without stoppiing. The driver, Fredy Leon Fox of McLean was later apprehended in Page County in the car which proved to be stolen. There was no personal injury. Property damage was estimated at $700.

Saturday, August 19 a one car accident occurred on Route 622, in Smedley Hollow. David Lynwood Pullen lost control of his 1956 Chevrolet sedan on a curve and struck a tree. He sustained a fractured neck from the accident and damage amounted to $1,000.
