Mr. and Mrs. Johns. Browning had as Bridge guests Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Winfrey of Woodville, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood of Sperryvllle and Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser of Washington. Mrs. E. M. Eastham and Mrs. Lock Burford attended a shower luncheon Saturday in Front Royal given by the Misses Linda Berkheimer and Patty Sims honoring Miss Gloria Jean Hawkins whose marriage to Edwin M. Eastham, III will take place Saturday, November 26. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Putnam and family of Front Royal were guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Pullen. Mrs. Ruth Llllard returned Tuesday to the Pullen home after being a patient in Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Alexandria. The W.S.C.S. met Thursday evening at the home of Mrs. G. W. Smith, Jr. Present were Mrs. Edward E. Clark, Mrs. Barbara Gentry, Mrs. Lock Burford, Mrs. Douglas Bywaters, Mrs. M. R. Bradford, Jr., Mrs. Emory Russell, Mrs. Edward Pruitt, Mrs. Carson Lillard and Mrs. Paul Miller. Miss Gloria Jean Hawkins and E. M. Eastham, III of Front Royal were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. E. M. Eastham.
