4-H Awards Made
Achievement Night
A county 4-H Achievement Night was held Friday at Washington Elementary School at which time achievement awards for the year were presented club members. Pictures of award winner will be found on pages 1, 2 and 3. Among those absent or not pictured were Lincoln Timbers who was second in Forest ry Appreciation; Raymond Williams, fourth in the same project; Mack Dodson, now in the armed services, second in sheep project. In addition to ^awards listed, Sandra Foster was first and Brenda Printz, second in Food-Nutrition; Bobby Smoot was third in wildlife. In Share the Fun Sandra Foster was first, Carty Moffett, second and Karl Burke, third. The Alumni Award, given an adult for service to 4-H, was presented Mrs. Sarah Latham for her efforts in publicity through the Rappahannock News. W. H. Lyne made the presentation.
Library Lines
A young readers Book Fair will be held at the Rappahannock Library December 2, 3 and 4. On Friday and Saturday the Fair hours will be from 2 until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12 noon until 4 p.m.
