Plans have been made by the Sperryville Fire Department for the construction of a porch on the new Sperryville fire house. The front porch will be erected in memory of the late Robert F. Estes, who served the fire company and community for many years, and will bear a plaque dedicated to him. Mr. Estes was president of Sperryville Fire Department for years and was instrumental in the construction of the fire house on a pay as you go plan. Anyone wishing to make a contribution to assist in the construction may do so by sending a check to John Walker Jenkins, President, Sperryville Fire Department.
