Folks who own or operate roadside markets or fruit stands are invited to drop by the Sperryville Fire Hall about 7:30 p.m. on December 11th. Plans are for a little get together to talk over mutual problems and to see if we can come up with some ideas to improve sales.
Dr. Jim Bell, V.P.I. Fruit and Vegetable Marketing Specialist, will meet with us and help lead the discussion. You will Find Jim Bell to be a very practical sort of individual with considerable experience. Jim and I both have some ideas on joint advertisement, display arrangements, general beautification, etc. but after visiting with several roadside market operators, we know that the best ideas are going to come from the people that are actively engaged in the business.
