AFTER the Supervisor’s concurrence with the Water and Sewer Authority resolution requiring mandatory hook-ups and authorization of grant fund transfer, the next step in the process of securing a viable, low-cost sewage system for Sperryville will be a public meeting to hear citizen views on the two alternative systems. _ Long said it would take appr^ ximately two weeks for Mackey Engineering to finish a feasibility studies, after which time a meeting will be scheduled.^ V A NEWS Edwin L. Pomeroy, Veterans’ Claims Agent, Front Royal, will be on vacation from August 16 through August 27. He will not make his scheduled visit to Washington on Monday, August 16. The Front Royal office will be open Monday through Friday on both weeks from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. NOTICE —The subscription rate for the Rappahannock News will increase September 1. In Rappahannock and adjacent counties, which include Madison, Culpeper, Fauquier, Page and Warren, the yearly rate will be $5.00; all other subscriptions will be $6.50. The management regrets the necessity for an increase, but with the ever-rising cost of materials and the climbing postal rates, an increase is mandatory.
