BUT New Jersey officials and citizens have decided that something must be done if agricultural land is to be saved for present and future generations. As one New Jersey legislator put it: “It comes down to this: Do we want it to be the Garden State ot^ the Asphalt State?”
It’s a question Virginians should ponder also, especially in the Northern Piedmont. New Jersey, as well as Suffolk County, N. Y., should be watched closely for possible solutions to a growing problem.
