More brooms are available and may be obtained from any Lion member and the fruit cakes are selling like hotcakes, said Howdy Holschuh in the Lions newsletter this week. Brooms are $3.50 each and the cakes are $4.25. Oliver Carver is offering a prize to any club member who sells more fruit cakes than he does.
A new member, the Rev. Jennings “Jenks” Hobson III has been welcomed to the club.
Lion Zone Officials will be present for the next meeting of the Rappahannock Club which is Wednesday, November 10 at Hampton Inn. Following “a period of attitude adjustment” at 6:30, the dinner meeting will convene at 7 p.m.
