PUBLIC HEARING

REGARDING CONNECTION OR “TAP' FEES

The Rappahannock County Water ami Sewer Authority shall hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at 7:30PM in the Courthouse in Washington, Virginia, to consider increasing the tees paid to the Authority: (1) for new connections to the Sperryville sewage treatment system; and (2) when a building is modified so to increase the estimated daily use (EDU) of its existing connection to the Sperryville sewage system. The Authority proposes to increase said fees from the current $250.00 to not more than $7,500.00 per EDU. The rate increase was proposed at a public meeting of the Water and Sewer Authority held on November 13, 2008. at which time a resolution authorising a public hearing was adopted unanimously by the members of said Authority. This hearing is advertised and will be held in accordance with the provisions of §15.2-5136D of the Code of Virginia. 1950. as amended. All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and make comment on the proposed increase.
