We acknowledge the receipt of an announcement of the graduating ex ercises of the Seattle Washington University and in the class we find the name of our young friend, Jack Hensle, formerly of Exira and who moved-to the Pacific Coast with his parents some three years and a half ago. It will be remembered that Jack was one of ths graduates (to be) of the Exira High Bohool Class of 1908 and through the difference of opinion of Jack and the graduation management as to the arrangements, Jack refused to take his place in the exercises. For not complying with the requirements of the management the School Board refused to issue a diploma. This act of Jack's has cost him two years or more review in the Seattle Washington Diversity. His review of studies and further research has fitted him for the higher aims of life and if we don't err his aims will be lofty ones. Jack's Exira's friends, where he spent his boyhood and school days all wish him success and the Journal force sends its greetings and are pleased to hear of his accomplishments.
