Church-College Guidance (.enter To Be Opened Hampden-Svdney To Assist With Vocation Choices Hnmpden-Sydney College and church leaders of Wed Hanover pi-ncK-terv have loined efforts to provide a new service to youne feople in this area- a counseling and guidance center. Dr. D. Maurice Allan, head of the Psych logy department of the college, will supervise the center while the Presbytery through its state Division of Christian Voca tion will support the new service The center to be located on the college campus will make its serv ices available to youths of other denominations, according to ten tative plans Operated as a division of the Presbyterian Assembly Depart ment of Christian Education, the center will provide counseling and testing programs to help young people find their rightful employ ment sphere, and. as Dr. Allan explained to a church audience in Farmville Sunday, to help them “make the best use of their God given abilities where Christian vocations are needed.” The new center, ready now to assist young people, will require two visits. Dr. Allan explained.
