County (Hikers’ Increases Aired Chairman Edward Carter and VV. W. Vaughan, members of the Prince Edward county board of supervisors, conferred Monday afternoon in Richmond with the State Compensation Commission lelative to a new salary scale for county offices. Under consideration are in creases for the treasurer, com missioner of revenue and Com monwealth's attorney. Increases of $300 for the treasurer and commisisoner and $600 for the Commonwealth's attorney, who is the legal advisor to the board of supervisors among other duties, have been authorized by the state board. Some supervisors have received objections from residents of their districts that the raises are not warranted, and the conference today stems from a resolution passed by the local board in answer to such objections. The increases would raise the salaries to: treasure! and com missioner. $4,800. and Common wealth's attorney, $3,600.
