The annual meeting was held 9:15 a m to 4 p m in the Farm ville Town Council Chamber Bill Pierce. District. IV Fire Chief, helped arrange the meet ing. Guest Speakers S. A. Ozlin. Iaincnburg countv farmer and former chairman 01 the Soil Conservation Service, was one of the guest speakers at ■the meeting. He discussed "What Virginia Forests Mean to Me." H. H. Garth, assistant forester in charge of fire control in the state, told the wardens about the 1952 fall fire season and what they could do to prevent such forest losses again. Another speaker was J. C. Hayes. Cumber land. chief forest ranger in charge of the Forest Service s ad ministration of state forests in this area.
