a registered voter, but I found it more of a job than I had anticipated to compile a list of all the voters with their proper mailing addresses.

If your home was missed, therefore, and you are a voter interested in seeing the questionaire, send me a postal card at the House of Representatives in Washington, and I will mail you one.

Obviously, it would require many more than 38 questions to poll citizens on all the thousands of pieces of legislation pending in Congress. I have selected those major issues which have been occupying the attention of Congressional committees. Many of the questions have been based on recommendations made to Congress by President Eisenhower, s as Federal aid to education, foreign aid, liberalization of imrafgration, public housing, die soil bant plan for agriculture, increased postal rates and a new Federal highway program with emphasis on interstate roads.

As you know, Congress does not follow always the recommendations of a President, but his legislative proposals usually set the pattern of activity in Congress. The committees can be expected to concern themselves with the President’s bills, or substitutes for them.

The questionaire is divided into

Sre categories—international rations, agriculture, Federal finances, public improvements and labor and, social welfare. There is space for" general comments.

Those voters who write their names and addresses on the form 'will be sent a report on the poll results. Unsigned returns will be counted in the totals.. All individual expressions of opinion will be kept strictly confidental by me, but I will make the overall results public.

I realize that it is asking a good deal of a citizen, who may be occupied at this time with income tax forms, to'confront him with a list of 38 questions. I do hope, though, that voters wil be inclined to give me this assistance in my effort to represent them in accordance with their wishes.
