Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Starks had as their Sunday guests Miss Irie Starks, Clarence Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Hill and son, also Miss Lucy Roberts. Mrs. Margaret Hunter is out and improving nicely. Earl Carpenter and Herman Wright were Sunday guests recently of Miss Ann Freeman. The Washington Monarchs held their first meeting at the home of Mr* and Mrs. Bobby Summer. The officers elected were as follows: President, W. H. Hunter; Manager, Robbie Clanagan; Assistant Manager, Lewis Butler; Captain, Willie Carter; Secretary, Bobby Summer; Rooking Manager, George Evans; Treasurer, Mrs. Havanna Jeffries.
