One Is Kayoed On Field
Over 300 persons attended the exciting donkey baseball game, sponsored by the Castleton Community Volunteer Fire Co. at Castleton Tuesday night, including 2 full car loads who came all the way from the state of Maryland. The donkeys were furnished by the Buckeye Donkey Ball Co. from Ohio. There were players from Rappahannock and Culpeper Counties and two players from Maryland, including three local women players. After the game went on for awhile, one of the ladies was thrown off by one of the donkeys and knocked out for awhile. After this, the ladies decided that it was better for them to go back to the stands and sell hot dogs.
