one delegate for each 200 hundred votes, or majority fraction thereof, cast in the County for the Democratic candidate for U. S. Senate in November, 1952, and ’WHEREAS, the method of selection of said delegates was left to the County Committee of each County. -NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that at a mass meeting to be held in the Courthouse, in the Town of Washington, Rappahannock County, Virginia, at -8:00 o’clock P. M., (E.S.T.), on the 10th day of July, 1956, which shall elect 4 delegates to the State Convention above mentioned and 4 alternates to said convention and that the 4 delegates shall be elected at large at this mass meeting.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all candidates who desire to become delegates to said convention shall file their notice of candidacy in due form accompanied by the Party Pledge required by the Democratic Party Plan with E. M. Jones, Secretary of this committee on or before July 5, 1956.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be published in the Rappahannock News in the issue of June 28, 1956, which is at least ten days prior to the election of said delegates.
