Some wetksago while studying, a series of lessons on. Christian. Citizenship, the group decided to choose their officers by methods used by the two major parties-ofthe country.
Following the Annual Banquet at the V. F. W. Hall in Sperryville, (which was much enjoyed and left the young group in excellent spirits and in “love and " harmony” with their companions) _ a convention was held, proceeded ’ by the traditional caucus. -
After much speech-making, the Alphas nominated Joan Nethers for President and the Omesras ' chose Julian Brown as their stan-. • 4ard bearer.
In the balloting that followed, the Omegas were successful and Julian Brown was declared President of the group.
Other -officers elected were: Joan Nether a, Vice-President, Shirley Brown, Secretary and Judy Black, Treasurer.
The councilors for the group who have done so much to help make it a successful youth organization are Mrs. Martha Ann Critxer, Mrs. Virginia Estes, Mrs. Catherine Brown and Rev. A. D. Goodson.
First Aid Course To
Begin At Flint HiO
Those Interested in taking the Red Cross First Aid Course for the purpose of organizing a Rescue Squad in. Flint Hill are urged to come to the Fire House on Thursday, July 6, at 7:30 p.m.
Dr. Edwin Eastham will be the instructor.
The Course will be open to the - general public. A few hours spent attending this course may someday mean saving the life of another, or even yourself! ;
