WASHINGTON
John Turner left Sunday for Baltimore where he has accepted a position for the remainder of the summer. While there he will make •his home with Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Turner. . Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Haxton of Silver Spring, Md. were guests Wednesday of Miss Susie Wayland.
Mrs. Lewis J. Turner left Sunday fof South Hill, Va. where she will be the guest of Dr. and Mrs. J. H. Turner-while attending a “School Work Shop” at Boyton, Virginia.
Mrs. C H. White of Linden is visiting her sister and brotherin-law Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Mller.
Mr. J. Frank Jones returned to her home here Saturday after a short visit to her brother-in-law and sister. Mr. and Mrs. B. N. Eubank of Roanoke.
Mrs. Jones reports that Mrs. Charles W. Smith, (the former Miss Mary Price who has many relatives and friends in Rappahannock) was able to leave Jefferson Hospital, Roanoke on July 17 and return to her home.
Mrs. Smith was knocked down by a person riding a bicycle on July 4th, and suffered several broken bones. She is improving.
