Record of Performance has paid off in dairy cattle, poultry and swine for years. When Records of Performance testing pf beef cattle started in Virginia several years ago some people wetje skeptical of it’s value. Records ;of Performance show whether an individual bull or cow is doing a good job or vice-versa.
At the Front Roval Beeit Cattle Research Center Field Day held Apnl 3rd the bulls to be offered for sale were placed on tjype and on rate of gain. For insjtance in one breed claass a bull platting first on type ranked 7th on rate of gain.
