The closing exercises of the seventh grade of the Sperryville ■ Elementary School was held in the auditorium at 8 o’clock on Wednesday evening June 5. Miss Della Hitt was presented a sterling silver lapel pin from the. nupils of the elementary school by ' . William Atkins. It was presented to her as a token of appreciation for the time, hard work and pariience she spent on them. William Atkins was the 3rd generation in ^ his family who were pupils of Miss Della. Mrs. Quaintance, Mr. Winfrey and Supt. Gasque „ praised her highly for a job well done during her fifty three years of teaching.
