On Sunday evening, June 16th, at the Spring Hill Baptist Church at Advance Mills, Va., a service
pastor, Mr. Robert Clifford Gra-j ver. Mr. Graver, a graduate of Bluefield College and a member of the class of 1956 at the Univer-| sity of Richmond, has been serving! for some time as pastor of the Spring Hill, Swift Run, Liberty and Stannardsville field of churches in the Shiloh Association. He is a native of Pennsylvania and the son of Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Graver of Elk wood.
Dr. J. T. Edwards, superintendent of the Virginia Baptist Home at Culpeper, served as Moderator of the service. The scripture was read by Rev. J. William Hall, pastor of the Oakdale Church in the Potomac Association. Brother Hall also led in the evening prayer. The sermon was preached by Rev. J. S. Graver, the candidate’s father who is pastor of a field of churches in the Potomac andShilnh Associations and who is clerk of the Potomac Association. Rev. Flovd T. Binns. pastor of a field of churches in Shiloh Association, delivered the charge to the churches and Rev. W. Franklin Cale of the Culpeper Church the charge to the people. During the service the choir of the church rendered special • music. During rite laving on of hands prayer was led bv Rev. Jerry Hollowav of Stevensburg, Rev. Clem A. Walters of Novum and Slate Mills Churches also took part inthe ordination.
After the benediction had been pronounced by the newly ordained minister the members of Spring Hill Church entertained the guests in their new Sunday School annex •with light refreshments.
During the summer, Mr. Graver will live on the field i of churches making his home at Quinque, Va. During the winter he will return to the University of Richmond and spend his weekends with his people. of ordination was
