LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Dear fditor; .
I am a regular reader of- your weekly < paper, “The Rappahan'nock News'*. I see where by the Hoard of Supervisors have passed a new law ih the county, ta prohibit dancing after midnight Saturday nights. “Fine!” “Keep the Good Work up.” My question is: Is it or is it not a law in Rappahannock or even the State of Virginia to operate public or private gambling joints? If if is not lawful to operate gambling joints, why do they continue to operate day after day? Are our law enforcing officers asleep on the job: Have they all retired on a face salary or do they see and don’t see for the sake of a few votes at election time? If you can answer these questions please do so through your next issue of the “Rappahannock News,”
Sincerely,
* 7 Puzzled Reader
