HOGS

The usual seasonal downward trend for the hog market seems to be on us. The supply locally is short but there isn’t going to b enough price change this week to make it advisable to send low weight hogs to market. You stand to profit more by holding them on the farm until they reach 180 pounds. at least.. So, if you have feed for them, don’t let them go 50-f£>n. , Prices Richmond averaged $23.25 to $23.75, which was about the sank, as the previous week. Hogs in the Virginia auctions were up 35 cents and averaged $23.70 for top weight J>arrows and. gilts. Little change is ndticed in the Western Markets from last week. Chicago market prices were off about 50 cents. - A V A
