Turkey producers can look for prices to hold about steady through the rest of jOctober. Prices for Thanksgiving are going to he determined in the next two or three weeks. The slight rise in Price reflected this week was probably due to the larger buyers stocking up for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Total.supply will be a little above last year. Storage on October 1 wss' op 8% but production of both light ad heavy breeds will be down during October, Consumption has? been running below last year. However, the big demand season is just ahead. .

Christmas prices will run into only f 4 per cent production decrease in November of heavy type birds. For December the production figure will be 7 per cent above last year. /

Turkeys, this week, were generally one cent higher compared with last week’s prices.. Demand was good and small type Beltsville. turkey fryers were 25 to 2514 cents. Heavy^type hen turkeys were 26'4 cent;* and heavy type • toms were 22w\cents a pound.

CATTLE ON PEED •The Crop Reporting Service cattle on feed report, indicates 12 per cent more ca.ttle on, feed in the 13 major feeding states-as of October 1 than a year ago.
