Jr., District Forester, said that anyone intern, ested in ordering tree seedlings for this planting season should place their order as soon as possible as * the demand for tree seedlings will probably be greater than the 451 million seedlings available. Mr. Wilfong also stated that the- demand may be greater this planting season than in the past history iSue. to the increased interest of ,many landowners in the—Soil Bank or Conservation, Reserve.
Species available for sale this -, year are as follows: loblolly pine, white pine, shortleaf pine, Virgin-; ia pine, yellow poplar, black locust,^ and black walnut. The, prices of the seedlings range from $4.50 to $10.50 per thousand delivered.
