The Rappahannock Hunt met at Hampden Hall, home of Mn and Mr*, Wade H. MasSie, III at 9:00 A.M. November 1. Hounds were taken up the draw- and cast onto Googe Mountain. They immediately struck 'a line, followed it down into Bob L« Miller's Hollow, and back to tte mountain

When it was discovered the pack was running a deer, the Huntmtan Ollie Dodson, broke them off the track. Dry ground and rising temperature made for insignificant scenting conditions later in the morning, so hounds were called in, and we were back at Hampden Hall by noon.
The field of nineteen, led bv the two Joint Masters, Jim B it 1 Fletcher and Jack DeBergh, included three of our Honorary Whips: Wade H. Massie, Donnie Eastliam and Bemie Dahlgren. The, fourth Honorary Whip, Oliver Durant, II was at Maty Washington College Horse Show as judge. We welcomed ra new mem bee of the hunt, Mr. Gary Stuevef of Luray. Hunting guests were Miss Nancy Schultz, Mr. Henry Mag ruder of, Leesburg and young Miss Jenny Wilson of Flint Hill. We were glad to have the indomitable Capt. Though it has not knit as yet, be .decided he couldn’t wai<k and came out on his young, spirited thoroughbred.
