Need extra money??? Industrious people always seem to find a way but again sometimes the ‘planting’ of an idea is all that’s -needed, ^hat about the possibilities of developing a handicraft industry? The name, “Rappaltantiock Enterprise, Inc.” is simple enough and perhaps adequate. How ^should it, work ? What is there a market for? Who would do the work and how should it be organized? Where could the products be retailed ? This will re-. quire some sound thinking, ideas, and eperiences of people with marketing know-how. si •f, It seems in developing any enterprise the first thing to consider is

People with; willing hearts and minds, industry,; certain know*how in a particular line with nothing to invest but time.
While I’m strictly an amateur in judging quality of handicrafts I have seen in Rappahannock articles made by just such people that appeared to mej to be just as well made, just as attractive and frequently more so thao-many of the articles offered and selling in many shops. I__ have reference to braided rugs, crocheted articles, split bottom chairs and stools, bird houses, leather -articles; dried arrangements, etc. Elsewhere I have teen home made com shuck door ' mats and Christmas wreaths that have sold like wildfire.
