Ernest F. Clatirr, seaman, USN, son of Mrs. Maggie Clater of Sperryville, Va., returned to Nor- j folk, Va., March 20, aboard die amphibious force flagship USS Pocono after a nine-month tour of duty in the Mediterranean.
During the Lebanon crisis, the Pooono served as command ship for Amphibious Group Four and the Specified Cojmmand of the Middle East, and later as flagship for Amphibious Squadron Eight during U.S. Sixth Fleet amphibious training landings.
