Banquet were Mrs. frank t^ary, Mrs. Willie Gentry anad Mrs. Walter L. Saunders, ‘4-H leaders; Miss Ruth Stevens and Randall Updike, Couny All Star members; and the county Extension Staff.
On Friday, April 3rd at 7:30 p.m. ’at the Court House, the Spring County Council meeting will be held to make plans for the spring and summer 4-Hactivities. It is a very important meeting and it is hoped that all “dub officers” will make a special effort to be present Committees will be appointed and dates set for thfe following events: “Share The Fun Night”, Rural Life Sunday, and County-wide picnic.
A 4-H and F.F.A. Tractor Operators’ Contest will be held Saturday, April 11th at 10 HX) a.m. at the high school. Only those 4-H club members who have completed either unit A or B of the Tractoi Maintenance Project will be eligible to drive die course. The F.F.A. boys, under the direction of Charles Palmer, Vocational Agriculture Instructor .will compete with other F.F.A. members from the county. Look for more details about the contest next week!
