A May Day* program was presented by the Sperryville Elementary School Thursday and Friday, May 7th and 8thl The theme was “Around The World With Dottie”. The cast included all the five pointers in tjhe school. *
Scenes were presented with songs and dances from Alaska, Norway, Switzerland, Holland, France, Japan, Hawatii, Mexico and the United $tates..
Chosen as May Queen was Susan Schaefer with Lillian Reeve as Maid of Honor. Court attendants were Kathryn Nalls, Sandra Orange, Dana Snead, Kay Johnston, Segar Jonesj, Mary Grigsby, Alice Jenkins and Phyllis Keyser.
David Lyne was King of Health and Lindy Atkjns Prince. Bill Snead was crown bearer, Jo Ann Adams train bearer and Wendy Brown and Mary Moore Kelly flower girls.
The auditorium held a capacity crowd for both performances and special visitors were Miss Della Hitt, Mrs. Leslie Floor Keyser, Rev. arid Mrs. John Frizzell and Hazel Frizzell. i The Queen anjd her court wish to express their Jgratitude to the Rappahannock Gjarden Club for )the lovely bouquets whidi they * made and presented to them.
