Grand Jury Indicts

Three Cases

Rappahannock County Circuit Court convened Monday with Judge R. V. Snead presiding. The Grand Jury brought in in-, dictments against the following: John Deal for felony; Mildred Fitzhugh for felony; James Lee Champ for felony. The trial for Mildred Fitzhugh was set for May 20 at 10 a.m. and J. W. Fletcher was appointed by the judge to represent her.

John Deal’s trial was set for July 16 at 10 a.m. and he will be represented by E. E. Johnson of Culpeper.

In the case of the Commonwealth against James Lee Champ, the court committed the accused to Central State Hospital at Petersburg for observation and report. J. W. Fletcher was appointed to represent Champ.
